The role
We’re looking for a dynamic manager to drive the continued success of our growing Climate Solutions (CSol) team in North America. Since its launch in late 2022, CSol has been a game-changer—boosting Watershed’s win rates and accelerating our growth trajectory.
As a first leadership hire in North America reporting to the Head of Climate Solutions, you’ll set the culture both for your team and for Climate Solutions as a whole. You, along with the rest of Watershed’s leadership and people teams, are responsible for building a diverse, inclusive, and hard-working organization.
This role is based in our New York office, where many Solutions Consultants are located. We thrive in an in-office culture and expect the role to be on-site 4 days a week, with occasional travel to other offices and customers (up to 10%).
What you’ll do:
- Build and lead an outstanding team: Hire, develop, and coach Solutions Consultants to consistently deliver exceptional results.
- Drive performance and outcomes: Manage team targets, individual growth, and operational excellence to ensure sustained success.
- Scale our function: Design and implement scalable processes, tools, and best practices that enable the CSol function to grow.
- Partner for impact: Collaborate closely with Product leadership to align solutions with customer needs and with AE managers on account strategy, planning, and forecasting.
- Champion the team: Represent CSol within Watershed’s management team, advocating for resources, innovation, and customer-first solutions.
What you bring:
- Proven leadership: 3+ years managing Solutions teams in enterprise SaaS, ideally in fast-paced start-ups.
- Enterprise expertise: A track record of achieving technical wins with large ($1B+ revenue) enterprise customers—both as an IC and as a manager.
- Passion for people: A knack for coaching, developing, and empowering high-performing teams.
- Cross-functional savvy: Experience collaborating with Product teams to build solutions that customers love.
- Mission alignment: A strong interest in mastering carbon accounting and corporate climate programs to make a real impact

FAQ
Where does Watershed work?
We have hub offices in San Francisco, New York and London, and some remote team members in the US and EU. Most of our jobs need to be in San Francisco / New York / London, but certain jobs are open to being remote and will be specifically noted on the jobs page and in the job description.
What’s the interview process like?
It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience screen (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel after that if the screens go well. We prioritize transparency and lack of surprise throughout the process.
Please note Watershed will only conduct interviews via official company channels (Google Workspace, Zoom). We do not use platforms such as Signal, WhatsApp, etc. to conduct official interviews nor to complete any part of our onboarding process. If you are reached out to on these platforms from anyone claiming to be from Watershed please let us know.
