We have offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Mexico City, and remote team members across the US and Europe. We hope that you'll be interested in joining us!
The role
Watershed is on a mission to help the world’s largest companies turn sustainability ambition into action. We’re looking for corporate sustainability experts to join our go-to-market team and help Fortune 500 companies navigate a complex and fast-changing landscape of investor expectations, customer pressure, and regulatory requirements (CSRD, SEC, and beyond).
In this role, you’ll go deep with prospective customers to understand their needs and show how Watershed can power their sustainability programs. You’ll partner closely with sales, product, and our sustainability advisory teams to guide companies through their journey.
What you’ll do:
Partner with 4–5 Enterprise Account Executives to understand customers’ businesses, sustainability goals, and current pain points
Become a trusted advisor to prospective customers, educating them on sustainability commitments, carbon accounting, policy, and Watershed’s offerings
Build and share expertise on how global enterprises can run impactful sustainability programs
Demonstrate Watershed’s value through product demos, ROI analysis, and customer stories
Scope complex customer engagements as we launch new products and expand into new industries
Ensure smooth handoffs with Customer Success and Sustainability Advisory teams
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Marketing to improve Watershed’s products and positioning
Contribute to strategic projects that scale our GTM engine
You might be a fit if you:
Have 3–8 years of experience advising large companies on sustainability programs—either in climate software or consulting
Learn new concepts and technologies quickly
Communicate with clarity and credibility across both technical and executive audiences
Thrive when juggling multiple projects and roles
Care deeply about decarbonizing industries from aviation to apparel to cloud computing
Are excited to join a fast-growing startup and help define the future standard for corporate sustainability programs
Other details:
This role may include up to 25% travel
Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week (except for remote roles)
Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City and satellite offices in Sydney, Paris, and Berlin. Where we have offices, employees are expected to be in office for 4 days per week. Certain jobs are open to being remote and will be specifically noted on the jobs page and in the job description if so.
What’s the interview process like?
It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience interview (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel. We prioritize transparency and lack of surprise throughout the process.
What if I need accommodations for my interview?
At Watershed, we are dedicated to ensuring an inclusive recruitment process. We provide reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities, long-term conditions, mental health needs, religious observances, neurodivergence, or pregnancy-related support requirements. If you need assistance during your process, please contact your recruiter.
