As always, we’re hard at work making Watershed more intuitive, powerful, and responsive to your feedback. New this month: Learning hub courses, approval workflows, supplier auto-mapping, multiple footprints, and more.
Learning hub courses
Jumpstart your measurement with on-demand training, including videos, practice exercises, and quizzes designed by our experts.
Enhanced customer support experience
Our new support experience makes it easier to submit a support request within the Watershed app and see a history of all your past support cases.
Approval workflows for data ingestion
You can now assign separate duties for uploaders vs approvers, configure multiple approvers, lock data, and get full change logs.
Auto-map suppliers
Supplier mapping is an optional but recommended part of the data upload process. Our supplier auto-mapping tool leverages S&P's KenshoLink API to make your supplier mapping process as seamless as possible. Mapping suppliers to Watershed’s company database allows you to unlock additional capabilities in the Watershed dashboard, such as using supplier-specific emission factors during measurement or pulling public sustainability data to build a supply chain decarbonization strategy.
Multiple footprints
You can now manage multiple footprints simultaneously. You'll be able to create dedicated footprints for different organization units, reporting requirements, methodologies, and more. Each footprint will have its own version history and review/approval status, and you'll be able to select different footprints to use in Drilldown, Reporting, and Supply Chain.
Review and analyze activity data
Activity data enables you to view all data uploaded across measurement projects and data files for a specific activity type. You can leverage the activity data page to review your data, find and address anomalies, and analyze or draw insights from it.
Bulk task creation
Many organizations will have to navigate complex and cross-functional project management to complete data collection. In these cases, the bulk task creation tool can be a helpful way to expedite task configuration.
Utilities data collection forms
You can now provide utilities (electricity, water, waste, heat) data as a row through a form—rather than uploading excel files for single rows of data—reducing the need to reupload entire datasets.
Methodology updates
Our core methodologies for data transfer, buildings and employees, USEEIO, and corporate investments have been updated to improve accuracy and reflect the latest available science.
Improved emissions factor support for Australia and New Zealand
We now have improved emissions factor support for Australia and New Zealand across electricity and fuels.
We hope you enjoy exploring these new capabilities! As always, Watershed customers can find more information and ongoing updates in the Learning Hub.
