Sessions

The state of corporate sustainability in 2025

Over the last few months, we spoke with hundreds of global sustainability professionals about how they’re thinking about their corporate sustainability strategies moving forward. We’ll reveal the trends that came out of that research, the challenges companies are facing, where they are making strides and some insights on resourcing, measurement, and optimism that may surprise you.

The EU Omnibus proposal: one month later

On February 26th, the European Commission released its Omnibus proposal to streamline a collection of EU Green Deal regulations, including the CSRD. In this session, Watershed’s head of policy will walk through what has transpired since the release of the proposal, provide guidance for companies determining how to approach CSRD in light of the proposed changes and answer some common questions.

Behind the SBTi's latest guidance

We’ll hear from Dr. Steve Davis—member of the Science-based targets initiative's technical council, professor at Stanford University, and Chair of the Watershed Science Advisory Board. Dr. Davis will review the latest SBTi corporate guidance, including thoughts on how carbon removal and other market-based solutions can play into science-based targets.

The state of decarbonization investments

We'll hear from Matt Konieczny, Watershed's Head of Decarbonization Products on how companies are building their portfolios of clean energy, carbon removals, sustainable aviation fuel (SAFc) and other decarbonization investments. He'll give a market trends assessment of the availability and shifting cost of these assets, and share some of his insights on what you need to think about when incorporating them into your strategies.
