Is net zero possible? A conversation with Nat Bullard and Steve Davis

Date
Time

Every year, Nat Bullard—who has covered decarbonization for two decades as an analyst and contributor to BloombergNEF—releases a highly-anticipated report on global progress towards net zero. This year’s analysis includes nearly 200 unique figures and statistics, and is an insightful distillation of the global economy’s progress towards net zero.

In this webinar, Nat joined us to discuss his findings, the insights most relevant to companies, and take a look at the big picture: where are we on the path to net zero? Can we get there in time?

The conversation also included Dr. Steve Davis, Chair of Watershed’s Science Advisory Board and lead author of the US National Climate Assessment’s latest report on climate change mitigation. Steve is a world-renowned expert on both the impact of business activity on the climate, and opportunities for emissions mitigation in the private sector.

The event was hosted by Ann Radil, a climate advisor at Watershed with over 20 years of experience advising companies on sustainability, including previous roles at Neutral and Nike.

We covered:

  • The growth in public climate commitments from the F500.
  • How carbon taxes are extending beyond Europe.
  • The eye-popping investments being made in renewable energy.
