Earlier this year, 19 sustainability professionals joined the first Watershed AI Fellowship. They came in with ambitious use cases. They left with working AI workflows—and measurable results.
Jason Schneemann at General Motors cut scope 3 processing time from three days to a few hours. Nadia Carroll at Specialized compressed two workweeks of annual data manipulation into a single session. Joshua Papachristidis at Pearson built a workflow that saved six days, reconciling emissions data for 20,000 tons of paper across languages and formats.
Those results made it obvious to us that there was more potential in this program. Today we're welcoming our second cohort to the Watershed AI Fellowship: 51 fellows from 40 companies with a continued focus on building practical, impactful workflows that teams can start using right away.
What they'll do
Within their first month, each fellow will select a capstone project—an AI-based workflow that solves a concrete problem at their company. Over eight weeks, they'll work with our AI product team, test new capabilities, and learn alongside sustainability peers from a broad range of industries.
Who they are
The cohort spans more than 40 companies from a variety of industries including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and artificial intelligence.

What's ahead
As the cohort progresses, we'll share what they build—new workflows, results, and lessons other sustainability teams can use.
