Measuring carbon emissions is now a regular part of doing business, as essential and routine as collecting financial data. But unlike traditional accounting, carbon accounting is constantly evolving. The methodologies behind emissions measurement are regularly updated in order to keep up with the latest scientific consensus, technological improvements, and regulatory demands.

This webinar will cover some of the recent changes in carbon accounting best practices, key innovations, and their relevance for companies. The discussion will include:

  • Steve Davis, the chair of Watershed’s Science Advisory Board, on his pioneering method for measuring forest, land, and agriculture (FLAG) emissions; and why more companies need to start accounting for them.
  • New approaches to measuring complex emissions categories, including financed emissions and the use of sold products.
