Today, Watershed announced a new partnership with Applied Value Consulting, the global management consulting firm, to drive supply chain decarbonization.

Ambitious climate action demands that businesses reduce their supply chain emissions. One of the largest hurdles lies in addressing the upstream web of supplier emissions, which often accounts for over 80% of a company's total carbon footprint. Tackling these supplier emissions is a critical yet daunting task.

"Businesses can’t meet their climate goals without decarbonizing their supply chains, full stop,” said Taylor Francis, co-founder of Watershed. “With Applied Value Consulting and Watershed, companies can tackle that challenge head-on. Applied Value Consulting’s expertise in supply chain optimization complements our focus on data-driven carbon measurement and reduction. Together, we’ll work to transition the private sector towards sustainable supply chains, setting new industry standards for climate action along the way."

This strategic collaboration brings together Watershed’s leading measurement, reporting, and reduction software, including a dedicated supply chain solution, and Applied Value Consulting’s expertise in supply chain operations. Watershed and Applied Value Consulting will implement a new approach to supply chain decarbonization that merges the scale, speed, and impact of software with the operational execution of best-in-class teams.

"We are thrilled to join forces with Watershed on this initiative,” said Ryan Huff, CEO of Applied Value Consulting. “Watershed's offerings align seamlessly with Applied Value Consulting’s commitment to deliver fact-based, tangible value for our clients. By leveraging Watershed’s powerful enterprise climate platform, we can provide our clients with unparalleled visibility into their supply chain emissions, enabling them to make informed decisions and implement effective strategies to reduce their environmental footprint."

Watershed Supply Chain empowers companies to gain clarity into their supply chain emissions, facilitating streamlined supplier engagement and accelerating real carbon reduction efforts. By providing a single dashboard to view suppliers' granular emissions data, targets, and actions, companies can easily identify the most impactful opportunities to reduce emissions. The software works seamlessly with existing teams and tools, facilitating direct collaboration with vendors to measure and analyze supplier emissions. This allows companies to track individual suppliers’ sustainability progress and model their reduction initiatives, enabling data-driven purchasing decisions based on real climate action.

Leveraging their decades of experience supporting supply chain organizations, Applied Value Consulting has honed its capabilities to ensure that businesses can align their environmental goals with their operational excellence. Applied Value Consulting prioritizes helping clients to drive real action to decarbonize their supply chain, and empowering clients with tools and insights to embed sustainability principles within the business.
