- Date
- Time
Join us for a discussion about the new climate disclosure rule from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and how to prepare for compliance. Our speakers include KPMG’s ESG audit lead, a former senior advisor on ESG and climate to the SEC, and an ESG advisor at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. They will break down the complexities of the rule and how and when firms should address requirements.
We will cover:
- How to approach materiality requirements, including those for scope 1 and 2 emissions.
- How to prepare for assurance requirements, and when.
- Governance requirements under the rule, and how to approach climate with your board and execs.
- How the SEC might approach guidance and enforcement.
- How SEC disclosures will interact with voluntary and other mandatory sustainability reporting.
